{"id":663,"date":"2015-08-11T05:00:52","date_gmt":"2015-08-11T09:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2015.rhodeisland.wordcamp.org\/?p=663"},"modified":"2015-08-12T16:34:17","modified_gmt":"2015-08-12T20:34:17","slug":"who-uses-wordpress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rhodeisland.wordcamp.org\/2015\/who-uses-wordpress\/","title":{"rendered":"Who uses WordPress?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the advantages of attending WordCamp RI is to brainstorm with people you&#8217;ve just met. \u00a0The sessions are great, but so is the chance to share ideas and ask questions about what you do with your website or blog. \u00a0(By the way, WordCamp RI will be on September 25 and 26 at New England Tech in East Greenwich.)<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll have the chance to meet a variety of WordPress users. \u00a0Attendees will include those who write code and those who write blog posts. \u00a0WordCamp RI draws those who have serious websites, light hearted websites, tech sites, lifestyle websites; those who use their blog to reach who ever wants to read the posts and those who use WordPress as their eCommerce platform.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some websites you might want to look over to get ideas about what you can do with your site. \u00a0They are all featured in the WordPress <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/showcase\/\" target=\"_blank\">Showcase<\/a>. \u00a0These sites will have some features that will work for you and some you may not like. \u00a0They are all likely to get you thinking.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first pilot in the world to break the sound barrier was Chuck Yeager. \u00a0His WordPress website is full of pictures and fascinating information about his professional accomplishments.
